Ann Rogers - Menehune Girls
Ann is 12 years old and represents the Menehune Girls on the TGSA All Star Team. She caught her first wave when she was 6 at Texas Surf Camp. She has been in love with surfing every since then. She started competing in TGSA when she was 9 and has been striving to do her best. She joined the Board House surf team this summer.
Ann is number 1 in her class at Rogers Living Water Academy. Math is her favorite subject. In addition to surfing, she also loves swimming and swims for the Portland Aquacats. She has qualified to swim at the state level every year since she was 6. Most importantly, she loves Jesus and seeks to glorify and honor Him in all that she does.
Kason Wells - Menehune Boys
Kason Wells is an 8th Grader at Flour Bluff Jr. High School. Kason was born in California and started surfing at the age of 5. He is a two-time State Champion and has won the Volcom Bushfish Contest twice. Kason loves to play basketball and skateboard in his spare time. He is sponsored by Billabong, Wind & Wave Watersports and Strive Surfboards.
Mia Marr - Girls
Mia Marr is a 14yr old A/AB honor roll student at Rockport Fulton High School. She runs cross country and track. She has been involved in TGSA for 8 years and this is her 3rd year as a Texas All Star. She has had the opportunity to surf in California, Costa Rica, Mexico and France.
Dallas Cunningham - Boys
Aransas Blaha/Junior Women
Aransas is a 15yr old A/AB honor roll and is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. She runs varsity track at Rockport-Fulton Highschool. She has been surfing for 8 years. She has had the opportunity to travel to and surf in California and Oahu’s North Shore.
Kelly Scroggs - Junior Men
Kelly is a 17yr old A/B Honor Roll student and graduating a year early from highschool. He has been surfing since he was four years old. In his spare time he enjoys skating, spear fishing golfing and building model airplanes with his grandpa. Kelly has had the opportunity to surf in many parts of California and Hawaii.
Ian Appling - Junior Longboard
Ian Appling is a junior at Flour Bluff High School. He hopes to graduate next school year with an Associate’s Degree in Business from Del Mar College and continue his education in Hawaii. Ian is a five-time state champion and has placed second two years in a row in the NSSA national explorer division for longboard and is the current NSSA national open longboard champion. Last summer he was named to the USA Developmental Surf Team. Ian is currently sponsored by Quicksilver, Dakine, Futures Fins, Aftermath Surfboards, and Dockside Surfshop.
